Better Energy agrees grid connection with Finnish DSO, Caruna
Better Energy and Finnish distribution system operator, Caruna, signed an agreement to connect a solar park in Hanko to the Finnish grid. The expected capacity of Better Energy’s Solar Park is approximately 35 MWp.
Caruna will build a new substation to facilitate the grid connection of Better Energy’s new solar park and other installations in the Hanko region in southern Finland.
Better Energy’s solar park is expected to have an annual production capacity of 38 GWh, the equivalent of the energy consumption of over 2,000 Finnish households. The solar park will cover around 40 hectares and is planned to be built on a former parking lot. The park will be the first industrial-scale solar park in Caruna’s network in the Uusimaa region.
